Making Cities Work

Over the past decade, the Auckland Unitary Plan has enabled more development capacity in more places, helping housing supply respond to demand. Evidence shows this has contributed to higher rates of home construction — and lower rents than would otherwise have occurred.

As Auckland continues to grow, the key question remains: how do we accommodate that growth in ways that improve affordability, boost productivity, and enhance quality of life for the people who live here?

Join internationally renowned urban planner and author Alain Bertaud for a public lecture exploring what it takes to make cities work — now, and into the future.
