Auckland Regional Council
Publication date:
A review of recent demographic trends in the Auckland region, and key implications for future housing planning. This review is based on 1991 and 2001 Census data. Key policy issues identified within the report include housing growth outside the current urban area; increased housing density; the need for suitable housing to support an ageing population; and increased housing demand caused by falling occupancy rates.
